While in high school, Justin Rundle entered a science competition to attend the State University during the summer. Justin’s chosen topic was solar energy, he won the competition, and he went to Iowa State University for six weeks while only 17 years old. This was his first venture into solar energy.
From that beginning, Justin has had an extensive construction, engineering, and alternative energy career that includes –
- Two masters degrees in both engineering and business
- Professional engineering (PE) certifications in five states, including both civil and mechanical PE certifications in Arizona
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and has accreditation as a LEED Associate Professional (AP)
- Arizona General Contractor’s license since 2004. EPC Solar holds a Class A general contractor’s license (to install large ground mount solar), a Class B-1 general contractor’s license (to install solar carports and large rooftop systems), and a Class CR-11 electric license (to install both commercial and residential rooftop systems)
- Worked in the energy industry since 2010 and specifically in the solar field since 2019.
